Born in the UK, Tamara grew up around horses. Her grandparents had stud farms in Poland and she spent her summers living in Spain learning to ride. Tamara left school and home at 15 to train more seriously.
She spent time at Waterstock the premier training facility, training under Lars Sederholm who is former Consultant Head of Training for the British Showjumping Association and has been one of the leading trainers and mentors in the equestrian world for the last forty years. She then moved to Simon Davies to continue training. She was the brand ambassador for Longines - the main sponsors of Grand Prix Showjumping for 5 years.
Tamara then moved to Los Angeles where she worked managing film funds for 6 years before deciding to return to the equine industry. Tamara alongside running the operational side of HC and also competing herself is the vice president of the renowned Czartoryski Museum in Poland that boasts one of the most important Art collections in Europe including Leonardo Da Vinci’s the lady with the Ermine.
Born in Seattle, Sayre Happy comes from a long line of horse trainers. She started working for her mother a renowned trainer in Seattle and then moved on to form her own completion business boasting over 30 clients.
Upon moving back to the states Sayre had one of the most desired private jobs competing a stable full of excellent Grand-prix horses and producing young horses across the States and Canada. Sayre continued her training in the states under Eddie Macken, a member of the Irish team that won the Aga Khan Cup three years in a row (1977 to 79). Macken represented Ireland at the Olympics in 1992 and 1996 and as team trainer in 2004.
